A
Unique Coast in Spain
Granada's sub-tropical coast is the only stretch of Spanish Mediterranean
coast which combines a rich sub-tropical agriculture (avocados,
mangos, loquats, bananas, custard apples, etc.) with the traditional
tourist attractions of sunshine, beach, culture and gastronomy.
The orchards of tropical fruit not only assure a varied cornucopia
in the town marketplace, but they also guarantee vast expanses
of green in the countryside. Since these green areas house no
hotels nor apartment complexes, the massification here is much
less than in other places on the Mediterranean coast.
